They wanted a seamless design for their product byte factory, a saas based IOT transformation solution for digital manufacturing. It involves multiple connected products, users and systems.The experience has to be consistent across all the distributed systems.
A detailed user research was undertaken to capture the end user requirements.Comprehensive user personas were meticulously crafted to represent a wide array of user needs and preferences. Detailed user journey maps were charted across various touchpoints to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
A comprehensive design system that includes standardized UI components, typography, color schemes, and interaction patterns for uniformity across all connected products was crafted. A mobile first approach was used to ensure the UX design is responsive and compatible across different devices and platforms, including desktops, tablets, wearables and smartphones.
UX audit was conducted on the existing application to know about the whole architecture. This helped the team to understand the usability problems, user pain points and business value opportunities. We started the design process by analyzing the data and produced personas representing the diverse needs and challenges of the users.
